Rohde & Schwarz Hands-On Labs Debugging embedded systems: isolating errors through oscilloscope requirements Speakers:Michael Schnecker (Business Development Manager) Dates/Times: Wednesday, May 4, Times TBA Abstract:Oscilloscopes are the primary tool for debugging embedded systems. The primary specifications of oscilloscopes are bandwidth and sample rate however, because embedded systems include numerous interconnections between hardware and software elements, debugging requires additional tools and capabilities. •In this session attendees will learn the application of oscilloscopes to debugging embedded systems through details on signal integrity: •Triggering (important element for isolating errors in both software and hardware) •Waveform update rate (critical for finding low rate asynchronous interference sources that can lead to system failure) •Signal post processing features (ie: frequency domain analysis using FFT's is essential for isolating the sources of problems) •Low noise (is critical for measuring low amplitude signals) |
