Androidâ„¢ Certificate Program
The Androidâ„¢ Certificate Program is available ONLY to All Access Pass holders.
The Android platform has been hugely successful in mobile computing. Now, embedded developers are embracing it too, using the platform to speed development of embedded systems outside the mobile space.
But this adoption requires some changes, both in Android and in the skills and mindset of embedded developers. As more and more projects become Android-based, this situation creates new job opportunities for existing developers who can upgrade their skills. Yet except for a few professional trainers and consultants, there are few sources of information for embedded developers who wish to learn Android skills.
At ESC Boston, one series of courses - beginning with self-paced Web study and culminating with an Embedded Android Workshop - will take an embedded developer from zero to installing and using Android on real embedded hardware. UBM Electronics will grant a certificate to students who complete all 4 courses in the curriculum as evidence of their work.
Featuring:
- Skilled, experienced Android instructors recognized as leaders in this new area
- Self-paced Web introduction, classroom, and hands-on lab sessions fit the instructional style to the material.
- Curriculum begins assuming no knowledge of Android concepts, and ends with the student actually using an Android platform on a TI BeagleBoard-xM.
Courses (select during registration process):
- Fundamentals of Android
- Android Jumpstart
- Android Variants, Hacks, Tricks and Resources
- Android’s Open Accessory Kit
- Embedded Android Workshop (see Computer Requirements for this session)
Students must complete ALL sessions in order to receive the Certificate.
